An increase in transportation rate has brought about a need to manage and control the flow of bus drivers
The dashboard app is an app that came with tons of functionality. Setting up the GTFS (General Transit Feed Specification) alone required 12 steps to complete.
My role was to make it as seamless as possible. The best way to make that work is to show a progress wizard, this way, users understand what they need to do and how long they'd go.
The first and primary role is to enable agencies to manage their GTFS (upload, edit and delete).
A brief look at some delivered wireframes
The GTFS allows agencies assign trips, stoppage times and assignment numbers.
- Allow agencies to set criteria for leave requests and picking up shifts
- Allow managers to view leave requests / picked up shifts and override them if needed. Requests should be automatically approved or denied but managers should be able to view and override if needed.
There's a need for a system that allows a group of people set up trips for drivers, invite drivers, and manage them.
Allow users to accept invite, create account if they don't have one or log in if they do to form connection

I should note that unaffiliated drivers would have nothing shown on their dashboards. The app usage is mainly by invite.
This shows their daily tasks including the ones happening at the moment.
Drivers get to see a non-distractive tracking of their schedule.
The main function of the app's homepage is to show events that happen during the day and week.
There's a means of requesting time off. Drivers need to specify the type of leave, day or time of day and reason. The requests are automatically approved or denied based on conditions set by the agency on the dashboard.
Despite an already done research, I worked on up-to-date and friendly designs that are non-distractive and fun for drivers and dashboard users.
This is basically to provide value to two groups of users, drivers being my app target may have different tolerance levels for the use of the app, hence the need to thoroughly deliver on ease of use.
